GDPR - information on the use and processing of personal data and CCTV

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) – in force since 25 May 2018.

Personal data processing

Pursuant to Article 13 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (OJ. L 2016, No. 119, p. 1), I have been informed that

1. The administrator of my personal data is the International Cultural Centre in Krakow, Rynek Główny 25;
2. The contact details of the Data Protection Inspector are the following: rodo[at]mck.krakow.pl;
3. My personal data will be processed for the purpose of the following:

• using the Library resources – in line with Art. 6(1) of the regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data;
• protecting legally justified rights of the administrator to seek redress or indemnify against claims – in line with Art. 6(1/F);

4. Personal data processing bodies are

• Staff members of the Alma system;
• IT support services;

5. My personal data are to be held by the Library for the duration of being the Library’s user, as well as for five subsequent years;
6. I have the right to demand access to my personal data, as well as to change and remove them, to limit the scope of their processing, to transfer them elsewhere, and to withdraw my permission at any momen
7. I have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
8. Sharing personal data is voluntary – however, if permission is not granted, the Library is entitled to refuse to offer its services.
