Post-graduate studies

The main goal of our programme is to give our graduates competences required to develop progressive activities in cultural institutions and implement sensible practices in management of heritage resources, both tangible and intangible.

While monuments belong to the past, heritage serves contemporary purposes. Heritage is not only tangible objects; to a growing degree, heritage means also intangible cultural goods. Yet, heritage is primarily people – heritage is us. Our memory, our choices, and our identity.

Prof. dr hab. Jacek Purchla

Chairman of the Polish UNESCO Committee in 2015–2020

Lecturer at the Academy of Heritage

Our lecturers are practitioners who successfully manage large museum institutions. This way, students learn about pragmatic solutions on how to effectively raise funds and communicate with the audience. Workshops conducted within the frameworks of the programme take place in the most significant museums and institutions across the country, such as the Museum of Art in Łódź, the Palace in Wilanów or the Museum of Warsaw.
