Recruitment for the 22nd edition of Thesaurus Poloniae

Until January 20, 2020, we are waiting for applications for the 22nd edition of the Thesaurus Poloniae scholarship program. The initiative is addressed to foreign researchers of culture, history and heritage of Poland and Central Europe.

In 2009, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland established a scholarship program, which has been implemented by the ICC in Kraków from the very beginning. Foreign scholars in history, art history, sociology, ethnography, cultural anthropology and other related sciences may apply for the scholarship. The program is implemented in two categories: the Senior Program for professors and academic lecturers holding a doctoral degree and the Junior Program for doctoral students.
Thesaurus Poloniae program is addressed to foreign researchers who are not Polish citizens. A single stay lasts three months. A qualified participant receives a scholarship (PLN 3,500, approx. EUR 770 for participants of the Senior Program and PLN 2,500, approx. EUR 550 for participants of the Junior Program per month) and a one-off grant, paid together with the first scholarship, awarded for the purchase of books and teaching aids (PLN 1,500 , approx. 330 EURO).

To date, 21 editions of the program have been held, in which 119 scientists from 34 countries took part: Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, France, Georgia, Spain, Iraq, Iran, Japan , Canada, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Germany, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Syria, Ukraine, USA, Hungary, Great Britain, Italy.
