Galician Thanatos. Histories of First World War Cemeteries in Western Galicia

The meeting accompanies the Galician Thanatos. War Cemeteries in Western Galicia in the Years 1914–1918 exhibition presenting photographic and design documentation of the cemetery construction campaign launched by the War Graves Department. Although falling into oblivion for years, many of them are being renovated, or even reconstructed outright today. The meeting will present the most appealing sites recently renovated – among others, the cemetery in Łużna.
