Meeting around Krzysztof Czyżewski's book "Towards Xenopolis", was held on August 1 at. 4.30 pm at the "Song about porcelain" cafe in the Miłosz manor in Krasnogruda. The meeting was attended by the author and professor Jacek Purchla, and led by Łukasz Galusek, ICC Deputy Director for Programme Policy. The organizer is the "International Center for Dialogue” in Krasnogruda.

"Towards Xenopolis" is a collection of essays by Krzysztof Czyżewski, writer, director and animator of intercultural activities, co-founder of the "Borderland Foundation and the "Borderland - of arts, cultures, nations" Center in Sejny. The author takes the reader on a journey through the European periphery: to the Romanian Timisoara, a cafe in Transylvanian Sibiu, to Chernivtsi - a city on the outskirts of the former Habsburg monarchy, Vilnius or Krasnogruda and Sejny, with which he has tied his life. He is also drawn to the region of the European "epicenter of storms" - Kosovo and Bosnia, which he describes just after the tragic conflict in the early 1990s. This is the first such extensive selection of essays by Krzysztof Czyżewski, which places Central Europe in the middle of the most important questions and problems for the modern world: the crisis of community, deepening divisions and increasingly acute cultural wars.
