Andrzej Szczerski – deputy director of research at the National Museum in Kraków, assistant professor at the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University. He has also lectured at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Mein (2003) and the St Andrews University in Great Britain (2004); curator of exhibitions on 19th- and 20th-century art, including Symbolism in Poland and Britain (Tate Britain, London 2009) and The Power of Fantasy. Modern and Contempo‑ rary Art from Poland (BozAr, Brussels 2011). Author of such books as Modern‑ izacje. Sztuka i architektura w nowych państwach Europy Środkowo‑Wschodniej (Łódź 2010) and Views of Albion. The Reception of British Art and Design in Cen‑ tral Europe 1890–1918 (Oxford 2015). Curator of the exhibition #dziedzictwo [#heritage] currently shown at the National Museum in Kraków.
