My Kurdistan - meeting with Ahmad Nabaz

We invite you to meet with Ahmad Nabaz, a 33-year-old Kurdish artist who will talk about his works currently presented at the Dark East exhibition in the medieval cellars of the ICC. The meeting with the artist will be conducted by Zyiad Raoof, Plenipotentiary of Kurdistan Regional Government in Poland.

The artist's works from Erbil are the result of both his painful personal experience and the observation of the difficult situation of the Kurdish people and the entire Middle East. Ahmad Nabaz devotes a lot of attention to the situation of women, because according to the artist, the Middle East turns into a huge prison for them. In his works you can see all the pain and drama of this region, the paintings are a cry of despair, an expression of protest and a voice in defense of the persecuted, as well as accusing the rest of the world of indifference or even allowing the enormity of evil affecting the Middle East.
