On the 14th of October new members of the RIHA board were selected: prof. dr Virve Sarapik (Kunstiteaduse ja visuaalkultuuri instituut, Eesti Kunstiakadeemia in Tallinn) and Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik, the director of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków.

RIHA (International Association of Research Institutes in the History of Art) was founded in 1998 in Paris. Its purpose is to promote education and reserach in art history and related disciplines. It also aims at intensifying the cooperation between institutes by facilitating the flow of information on scientific and administrative activities, and encouraging the institutes to undertake joint projects.

The RIHA board is a prestigious body of remarkable specialists. During the RIHA meeting, apart from new board members, a Chair was elected: Éric de Chassey from Institut national l’histoire de l’art in Paris. Dr Martin Olin from Nationalmuseum in Stockholm holds the position of the First Vice Chair and Tresurer, and dr Joana da Cunha Leal from Instituto de História da Arte in Lisbon – the Second Vice Chair and Secretary.

The director’s meeting was accompanied by the editorial meeting of the RIHA Journal. The International Cutlrual Centre was here represented by dr Magdalena Łanuszka.
