“The war through the eyes of a photographer” podcasts
A-
A+

We invite you to listen to two new ICC podcasts devoted to the exhibition “In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz”. We talk with the author, as well as with two photographers from the Academy of Photography in Krakow – Wojciech Wilczyk and Michał Zieliński.

Our guests talk about the work of a photographer during the war, but most of all about the value of photography documenting armed conflicts. When the events at the front cease to dominate the news headlines, professional photojournalism can still move our conscience.

Raising awareness

Wojciech Wilczyk and Michał Zieli ński consider the significance of wartime photojournalism. They also argue that war photography can become a label through with photos are only perceived as document s of what is happening at the front.
