If Scandinavia has for years been regarded as synonymous with simplicity and functionality in design, what would Poland – and, more broadly, Central and Eastern Europe – represent in terms of design today? What is the connection between conscious design and the political, economic and social situation? Or is design today merely an illusion? The authors and contributors to the latest, 24th issue of the quarterly magazine “Herito” – dedicated to Central European design – along with curators of design exhibitions and young designers, will seek answers to these questions.
