ICC at the 5th Warsaw International Book Fair

From 28 to 31 May 2026, publications from ICC Publishing will be on display at the Warsaw International Book Fair, which will take place at the National Stadium. During the 5th anniversary edition of this event, we will be among exhibitors from 34 countries. At our stand, you will find new releases, bestsellers and our readers’ favourite titles.

The Warsaw Book Fair is organised by the History and Culture Foundation and Projekt Książka sp. z o.o. For the first time on this scale, the event will utilise the stadium space, creating a meeting place for readers, authors, publishers and cultural institutions from Poland and abroad. The programme features over 1,500 events.

ICC books at the Warsaw International Book Fair

We will be presenting ICC publications at stand no. 9/D5 at PGE Narodowy. Visitors can look forward to our latest books and albums, as well as posters and prints at attractive prices.

Among the new releases and most popular publications available in our range are, among others:

“Imagined Capitals: Cities of the Habsburg Monarchy as Centres of Nations, 1815–1918” – a book by Dr Łukasz Galusek, exploring the phenomenon of the “imagined capital” – the city as a form of national existence in the absence of a sovereign state. The author analyses the relationship between urban centres and the national community, demonstrating how a sense of distinctiveness and the pursuit of autonomy were shaped through architecture, culture and urban space.

*During the MCK’s birthday week (25–31 May), the book is available exclusively at the ICC bookshop at Rynek Główny 25 in Kraków and at the International Book Fair in Warsaw at a promotional price of 50 zł.

“Carpathia” – Prof. Maciej Janowski describes a space where man and landscape form a community of fate. It is a narrative, written with literary attention and historical erudition, about a multinational area where different ethnic and religious groups have coexisted for centuries. The author considers, among other things, what characterises the category of “mountainousness” and recounts how the cultural and historical landscape of the Carpathians has changed.

“Złoto i srebro Zadaru” by Miroslav Krleža – a book by one of the most important writers of the 20th century, an intellectual and cultural critic from Zagreb. In this new publication, ICC looks at Dalmatian art as a mirror of history and human conscience.

“Archipelagos: A Personal Atlas of Questions and Experiences” by Drago Jančar – the author takes the reader on a journey – not only between the islands of the Yugoslav “archipelago”, but also to the Bosphorus, the fields of Flanders and Trieste. It is also a journey through time, to places that can tell many stories.

“Brâncuși. Sculpting with Light” – this photobook is an attempt to enter the world of one of the most important artists of the 20th century – the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși. The bilingual Polish-English publication opens with a text by Doïna Lemna, curator of the exhibition at the ICC Gallery and an outstanding expert on the artist’s work. The catalogue also contains reproductions of 40 original photographs by Brâncuși from prestigious private collections.

Herito, No. 59: Moravia – in this issue of the magazine, we explore Moravian identity, history, culture and architecture, taking readers from Ostrava, through Olomouc, to Brno and Znojmo. The issue includes, among other things, articles on the interwar avant-garde in Brno, the phenomenon of modernist Zlín, Ostrava’s industrial heritage and the debates surrounding Moravian distinctiveness.

Join us for the launch event for the latest issue of “Herito” – on 8 June in Kraków.

“Why is Romania Different?” Lucian Boia – the new edition of the book explores complex issues related to Romanian identity, myths and the nature of the country’s transformation and modernisation at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. This comprehensive study of Romanian history provides insight into the country’s paradoxical and difficult journey from one of the harshest communist dictatorships to a democratic member state of the European Union.

“Plants and animals. Atlases of natural history in the age of Linnaeus” (second expanded edition) – is a 240-page album presenting masterful illustrations from old natural history atlases – colourful, precise and full of detail. At the dawn of modern plant and animal taxonomy, they were not only scientific documentation but also a testament to the beauty of nature.

We also invite you to visit the ICC Bookshop website and our temporary bookshop and reading room in the ICC Gallery on the 1st floor.
