The report, which runs to over 200 pages, “Mapping of the Central and Eastern European non-governmental heritage sector” presents data on the heritage sector and findings from empirical research regarding its condition, challenges and needs. This pioneering study on a European scale may contribute to the introduction of better solutions for the heritage sector at the European level.
The report covers ten countries in the region: Belarus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary. The study was prepared by the Europa Nostra Heritage Hub for Central and Eastern Europe in Kraków (the Europa Nostra regional centre for Central and Eastern Europe), in collaboration with the Digital Centre in Warsaw, as part of the wider “European Heritage Hub” project, funded by the European Union.
