ICC team’s study trip to Vienna as part of the FEnIKS programme

From 10 to 14 June, representatives of the ICC took part in a study trip to Vienna, organised as part of the FEnIKS programme. The aim of the trip was to visit Viennese institutions involved in culture and the arts, exchange experiences, hold consultations and view the latest exhibitions and permanent collections on display at these venues.

The ICC delegation visited, amongst others, the Belvedere Museum, the Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa [Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe], the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK), Schönbrunn Palace and the The Albertina Museum Wien. The visit to the Viennese institutions provided an opportunity to meet with Austrian experts and discuss best practices in developing programmes for modern cultural centres. Our delegation also viewed the current exhibitions and had the chance to speak with the people who created them – the curators.

The visit was made possible by the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment (FEnIKS) Programme 2021–2027. The project involves not only the refurbishment of our headquarters, but also the development of the ICC team’s skills through training, study visits, various workshops and knowledge exchange with other institutions.
