The 12th edition of the V4 Heritage Academy

The 12th edition of the summer school took place in Budapest. This year the theme was the reconstruction of monuments and sites – the re-establishment of structures of outstanding cultural value, destroyed as a result of accidents or natural disasters. The participants visited the Buda, the Hungarian Old Village of Hollókő, and the Castle of Visegrád.

The V4 Heritage Academy summer school is a week-long educational program for conservators, employees of cultural institutions, and non-governmental organisations, dealing with heritage protection, from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

The organiser of this year’sedition were the International Cultural Centre, Hungarian Ministry of Construction and Transport and Lechner Knowledge Center.
