This journal is published by the Academic Circle of Students for the Protection of Cultural Heritage at the Jagiellonian University under the patronage of the ICC. This collaboration is guided by shared goals, including reflection on cultural heritage and its preservation.
In the fifth issue, young researchers focus on the topic of shared heritage in the form of tangible memory carriers, as well as intangible generational traditions. “Mundus Hereditatis” is a nationwide academic journal that brings together young people with an academic interest in disciplines such as art and heritage studies, conservation, archaeology, history and philosophy. It has been published since 2023 as part of the activities of the Jagiellonian University Academic Circle of Students for the Protection of Cultural Heritage. Its founder and editor-in-chief is Jakub Urban. Prof. Piotr Krasny, Ph.D., and Dr. Andrzej Siwek are responsible for the journal’s academic supervision and peer reviews.
Similar to the activities of the ICC, the journal’s goal is to raise awareness of the cultural heritage around us and to highlight its role as a tangible and intangible carrier of memory, allowing human history and culture to endure.
“Mundus Hereditatis” is a free biannual journal published in both electronic and print formats, available in every national library under ISSN 2956-641X. The print version of the journal can be picked up on the first floor of the Institute of Art History building; the online version is available for free.
