Walking Tour: Lithuanian Kraków

The walk around “Lithuanian Krakow” will present traces of various types of links between Krakow and Lithuania. Following these traces in the Old Town will come together with a story about the events, ideas, and people who provided links between the city of Polish kings and the far North. The focus will be put – to provide the context for the exhibition of Čiurlionis’s painting – on a group of Lithuanian artists whose studies in Krakow at the beginning of the 20th century provided an impulse for the modernisation of Lithuanian culture.

Dr. Kamil Pecela – expert in Polish studies by profession, expert in Lithuanian studies by passion. Author of a publication on Lithuanian literature in Vilnius in the interwar period, translator from Lithuanian, author of fanpage “Lithuanian Culture”. He can talk about Lithuania for hours.
