Cinema on the ICC rooftop
a film series accompanying the exhibition Max Ernst. An Ornithologist’s Dreams.
The exhibition, the films and the places where they are screened are connected by one thing: birds. Sometimes literally (Kes, The Bird People in China), sometimes metaphorically (The Seagull, The Cranes Are Flying), and sometimes in the twilight zone between reality and unreality (Black Swan, The Crow). We selected diverse works, from the United States, Great Britain, Russia and Japan. Gothic horror, ballet horror, British engaged cinema, American unengaged cinema, Soviet melodrama, Japanese idyll set in China. The films will be introduced by Maciej Stroiński, Ph.D. in film studies, lecturer at the Jagiellonian University.Free admission, free tickets
