Changes and new projects at the ICC – an interview with Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik for “Gazeta Krakowska”

In “Gazeta Krakowska”, the director of the ICC spoke about the changes our institution is currently undergoing, their impact on restoring the everyday presence of culture in the city centre, and our greater openness to the needs of local residents. The refurbishment of the ground floor of the Ravens House, the creation of a bookshop, a bistro and a new educational room, as well as the planned exhibitions and activities for the coming year – these are just some of the issues Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik touched upon in the interview.

From 7 to 9 July 2026, five staff members from the International Cultural Centre in Kraków took part in a study visit to Prague, or ganised as part of the FEnIKS project. The trip provided an opportunity to learn about the approaches adopted by Czech cultural institutions in the areas of management, making collections accessible, communication with the public, education and museum accessibility.

Ministry of Culture and National Heritage grant for the ICC’s FEnIKS project

Our institution has received a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the project “Modernisation and refurbishment of the ground floor of the Ravens House and renovation of the technical infrastructure at the International Cultural Centre’s headquarters”.

Signing of the contract for the replacement of lifts at the ICC headquarters

On 26 June, at the ICC, representatives of MURKRAK Spółka z o.o. and the management of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków signed a contract for the replacement of lifts at the institution’s headquarters.

ICC team’s study trip to Vienna as part of the FEnIKS programme

From 10 to 14 June, representatives of the ICC took part in a study trip to Vienna, organised as part of the FEnIKS programme. The aim of the trip was to visit Viennese institutions involved in culture and the arts, exchange experiences, hold consultations and view the latest exhibitions and permanent collections on display at these venues.

On May 4, at the ICC headquarters, representatives of MURKRAK Spółka z o.o. and the management of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków signed a contract for the modernization and adaptation of new spaces within our institution. The ICC renovation is intended to serve our audience and make the ICC space more responsive to their needs. The work includes renovation of the front facade, adaptation of the former Sphinx restaurant premises to the ICC’s needs and renovation of the roof of the Panoramic Hall.

Expert lectures by the Olomouc Museum of Art for the ICC team

Representatives of the Olomouc Museum of Art are sharing their experiences and knowledge with the ICC team. As part of the FEnIKS programme, in cooperation with a foreign partner institution, expert lectures will are held for our team and collaborators. Their topics include dialogue in museums, fundraising and the production and promotion of exhibitions.

The International Cultural Centre in Krakow cordially invites you to a press conference on the launch of the project “Modernization and adaptation of the ground floor of the Ravens House and renovation of the technical infrastructure of the ICC headquarters in Krakow”. We will talk about how the space of our institution will change and what projects we will implement to make the ICC an even more interesting and open place for our visitors.

Grant under the FEnIKS program for the ICC

The International Cultural Centre in Cracow has received a grant under the FEnIKS program – European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027. The funds will be used for the comprehensive modernization of the ICC headquarters at Market Square 25. The primary objective of the project is to create a new space for culture and social activities, which will be created on the entire first floor of the ICC and which will be a kind of invitation to the institution and its showcase.
