We invite you to join our educators for guided tours of the exhibition “Brâncuși. Sculpting with Light”.

 

The exhibition “Brâncuși. Sculpting with Light” runs from 27 September to 14 December 2025.

The MCK Gallery will be closed on 1 November and 11 November 2025. 

 

The exhibition is co-organized by the International Cultural Centre in Krakow and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw.

The exhibition is part of the 2024-2025 Romania–Poland Cultural Season

The Romania–Poland Cultural Season 2024-2025 is organised by the Romanian Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Cultural Institute, together with the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, with the support of the Polish Institute in Bucharest. During the season, several dozen events will take place, including exhibitions, music, theatre, film and literary events.

We invite you to an extraordinary guided tour of the exhibition “Brâncuși. Sculpting with Light”, led by Prof. Bogdan Achimescu. The expert will introduce the art of one of Romania's most important artists, creating unique drawings live and projecting them onto the walls of the MCK Gallery.

Curator-led tour with Karolina Wójcik of the exhibition “Brâncuși. Sculpting with Light”

Join us for a curator's tour with Karolina Wójcik, who will talk about Constantin Brâncuși's life and artistic journey, as well as contemporary “interpreters” of his work.

Guided tour with Prof. Erwin Kessler in English: “Brâncuși: Seeing the Sight”

On 21 October, we invite you to an expert guided tour with Prof. Erwin Kessler, an expert on avant-garde and contemporary art from the University of Bucharest. He will introduce Brâncuși's art from his unique perspective.

Guided tour with Jakub Kornhauser: “Inner Shapes”

We invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition presenting the work of Constantin Brâncuși, led by Jakub Kornhauser. Together with the poet and co-founder of the Center for Avant-Garde Studies at the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University, we will look for new forms of expression and living matter in the presented works.

On the opening weekend of the new exhibition at the MCK Gallery, we invite you to a curator's tour with Doïna Lemny, an expert on Brâncuși's art and honorary conservator at the National Museum of Modern Art, Centre Georges Pompidou.
