The link between Mrs Gorgon, a character in one of the biggest crime stories of pre-war Poland, and the subject of the exhibition is Henryk Zaręba – architect and father of the murdered child, Lusia. Łazarewicz’s latest book, Koronkowa robota. Sprawa Gorgonowej [Deft dealing. The Gorgon case] tries to find out not only whether Rita Gorgon was guilty but also what happed to her after she was released from prison on 3 Sep. 1939.

To Katowice from Lviv – lecture by Anna Syska

The Katowice architectural community in the interwar period was dominated by graduates of architecture at the Lviv Technical University. The most important among them were Tadeusz Michejda, Karol Schayer, Tadeusz Łobos and Zbigniew Rzepecki. Working for regional and municipal administration, as well as running private design offices, they influenced the architectural shape of the city, building structures with interesting forms and varied functions.

Join us for Sunday art workshops filled with creativity and new ideas. Inspired by the diversity of exhibitions at the ICC Gallery. This series of meetings is addressed to children between 4 and 8 y.o. During each art workshop we concentrate on a selected notion developed in presently held exhibition – we search for its meanings and create an object related to it.

sMoCzKi – guided tours for parents with children

Due to the closure of the institution, the program was temporarily suspended. After resuming operations, we will give you a new schedule.

The "sMoCzKi" cycle has been specially created to address the needs of the youngest visitors (not older than three years) as well as their caretakers to the ICC Gallery.
