A project in the public space of Krakow, staged as part of the exhibition by the ICC Gallery and the contemporary art festival ArtBoom.  The works allude to the street character of the Orange Alternative and to the artistic element of these events, ephemeral by their very nature. Each of the invited artists engaged in dialogue with the story of the Orange Alternative in an individual way.

Marcin Maciejowski,  The Nation Is Willing
ul. Św. Wawrzyńca 39
The artist appropriated a billboard for the purposes of this work, which – taking the history of the Orange Alternative (the dwarves painted on walls) as the point of departure – presents a tongue‑in‑cheek diagnosis of the desires of contemporary Poles.

David Černý, Freedom
Plac Matejki
The Krakow work of one of the Czech artists best known internation‑
ally goes at the heart of the Orange Alternative activity – a perverse,
lampooning struggle against the regime, dressed in an artistic costume.
Installation presented until June 24th, 2011

Sławek ZBK Czajkowski,  All Quiet

ul. Karmelicka 28
One of the most respected Polish exponents of urban art created a mural with references to props and figures featuring in the Orange Alternative happenings. In line with the style typical for the artist, combining a vivid form with humour and riddles, the work was painted on a wall of a townhouse in the city centre.
