The album

The album presents the figure of Andy Warhol - the leading representative of the pop art movement and one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Warhol’s eccentric personality was an inseparable element of his legend. The artist deliberately built the myth of his own person, being famous for his provocative opinions and the tendency to mislead his interlocutors.

The reason I’m painting this way is that I want to be a machine. Making money is art, working is art and good business is the best art.

The publication contains over 60 graphic prints and drawings by Warhol, including his most famous works, such as portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Mick Jagger, Campbell's soup cans, as well as less popular series, such as Flowers and Camouflage). Created over a number of decades, Warhol’s works are a record of his fascinations and evolution and a mirror of the times in which he lived.
Graphic prints are accompanied by texts on the artist's life and works - it is also an attempt to present Warhol in a broader context and to suggest new, less obvious ways of interpreting his works and his biography, which combines the sacred with the profanum, figuration with abstraction and the culture of America with echoes of the country of ancestors.
