Visit of the General Representative of Flanders in Poland to the ICC

On January 30, 2025, the International Cultural Centre had the honor of hosting the General Representative of Flanders in Poland, Mr. Matthias De Moor. During his meeting with the ICC Director, Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik, both the rich history of cooperation and the prospects for future joint initiatives were discussed.

The conversation provided an opportunity to recall numerous projects carried out with the support of the Government of Flanders, including cultural management courses held in 1997 and 1999, as well as exhibitions dedicated to outstanding Flemish artists: James Ensor (2002), Frans Masereel (2005), and contemporary Belgian art (2008). Among other significant initiatives were the "Culture and Business" conference in 2012 and last year's exhibition and album „Odesa. The Long 20th Century in Art.”, both of which attracted considerable public interest.

The visit also served as a platform for discussing the future. The talks focused on opportunities to continue cooperation and explore new projects that could further strengthen the Polish-Flemish cultural dialogue. The International Cultural Centre remains a hub for the exchange of ideas and experiences, committed to fostering collaborations with partners from across Europe.
