Through the eyes of a Soviet toy – on the Soviet and Russian underground
 
A lecture by Konstanty Usenko will be chaired by music journalist Leszek Gnoiński. A continuation of alecture cycle begun in 2012 and concerned with wide‑ranging issues of contemporary Poland and Russia, with a special emphasis on various aspects of cultural life, art, literature, everyday life and politics. The idea of the meetings was conceived in cooperation between the ICC and the Centre for Polish‑Russian Dialogue and Understanding and follows the tradition of debates on the culture of European countries held in the The Ravens Hall.

Konstanty Usenko – cellist, musician in many punk, new wave and industrial bands (The Leszczers, Najakotiva, Super Girl Romantic Boys, 19 Wiosen), author of lyrics, producer, DJ, journalist contributing to Lampa and other magazines. Connected with Poland and Russia since his childhood. Organiser of concert tours for Polish bands in Russia and Russian bands in Poland. Author of the book Oczami radzieckiej zabawki. Antologia radzieckiego i rosyjskiego undergroundu [Through the eyes of a Soviet toy: An anthology of the Soviet and Russian underground] (2012)

Admission free, a lecture in Polish.
During the meeting the book of Konstanty Usenko will be sold by The Czarne Publishing House.
Konstanty Usenko will be guest of the 3rd edition of the Miłosz Festival.
