The Polish Eastern Policy 2020 conference

The conference entitled “Polish Eastern Policy 2020” is organized by the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe on November 25–27. It is an annual meeting of experts, journalists, activists, local government officials and decision-makers focused on the main issues of Poland's policy towards Eastern European countries.

This year's edition, organized on-line for the first time, was dedicated to the issues of Polish policy towards Belarus, the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, the US elections and their consequences for Eastern Europe, human rights in the East and the role of Poland in respect them, as well as economic and historical issues in Polish-Ukrainian relations. An important point on the agenda was the debate on the perceptions of the East in Poland, Ukraine and Belarus.

The International Cultural Centre, as a partner and participant of the conference, was involved in its part related to heritage, building and transforming the image of the East and constructing memory.
