The Ambassador of Norway visits the ICC

On Monday, October 21st, 2019, the ICC was visited by His Excellency, the Ambassador of Norway, Olav Myklebust and the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Norway, Marian Mikołajski and Councilor for Norwegian Funds at the Embassy of Norway, Anniken Kleven-Gasser.

During the visit, they met with Łukasz Galusek, deputy director of the ICC for programs, to learn about the activities of our institution, as well as discuss the possibility of Polish-Norwegian cooperation in the field of cultural heritage in the coming years.

Guests visited the tenement house "Under the Ravens", modernized in 2007–2008, thanks to financial support under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. The ICC was the first institution in Krakow to benefit from a 'Norwegian grant'.

It is worth recalling that the Center has implemented many projects with Norwegian partners: exhibitions The logic of the local. Norwegian and Polish contemporary design. (in cooperation with the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrie Museum in Trondheim) and Contemporary Norwegian Architecture 2005 - 2010 (in cooperation with the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo), as well as a two-year research project Managing UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Poland and Norway.

Due to its many years of experience, the International Cultural Center has been appointed to the Committee of Experts, which will conduct substantive evaluation of applications submitted under the Financial Mechanism Culture Program EOG 2014-2021.
