The ICC at the Taipei International Book Exhibition

This year, Poland was the guest of honour at the Taipei International Book Exhibition, which took place from January 31 to February 5, 2023. “Form Follows Freedom” as well as other bilingual publications of the ICC Publishing House were presented.

The fair was an opportunity to promote Polish literature and culture. Dr. Michał Wiśniewski gave a lecture on contemporary Polish architecture and talked about the book “Form Follows Freedom: Architecture for Culture in Poland 2000+”. The Polish pavilion hosted an exhibition of children’s book illustration, “Captains of Illustration”, curated by Jacek Friedrich. There was also a concert of the Polish-Ukrainian band Dagadana. In addition to the ICC, the fair was attended by PIW, Powergraph, Foksal, Manuscriptum, Dwie Siostry, Nasza Księgarnia, Wydawnictwo Literackie, Andrew Nurnberg Associates, KaBooks, the National Library, and the Pilecki Institute.

The event was organised by the Book Institute, with the support of the Polish Office in Taipei and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
