Karol Linnaeus, Georges Cuvier, Mary Anning, Alexander von Huboldt and Karol Darwin are just a few names of great explorers living in the 18th and 19th centuries - pioneers laying the foundations for modern natural sciences. It is them that we devoted another lecture from the Mature to Art series, which was held virtually on the Zoom platform, and was conducted by Małgorzata Jędrzejczyk.

Their works ignited the imagination of not only scholars but also amateur enthusiasts, and such studies as the subsequent volumes of Alexander von Humboldt's Cosmos quickly became part of private collections.

The May lecture was devoted to these outstanding scientists - their merits for the world of science, but also the impact on the art and culture of the times in which they lived.

Hosted by: Małgorzata Jędrzejczyk

The lecture was conducted online by the Zoom platform in Polish language.

After submitting your application to the following address: warsztaty@mck.krakow.pl, you'll receive a link to attend the meeting.
