The 2nd Heritage Forum has finished

2013-06-11 - 2013-06-14
June 11–14,  2013, Krakow
The 2nd Heritage Forum of Central Europe
The Limits of Heritage

The international conference on cultural heritage of Central Europe came to an end. The closing ceremony was attended by the ministers of culture from the Visegrad countries, i.e. the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland.

The 2nd Heritage Forum of Central Europe confirmed Poland’s position as a leader in the Visgerad cooperation in the field of culture. It also strengthened Krakow’s role as a Polish window to Central Europe.
The choice of the International Cultural Centre for a host of the conference was by no means accidental.  For over 20 years the ICC has been the voice of Central Europe in the international debate on cultural heritage.
Our institution does not only carry out research and specialist educational programmes in the field of heritage, but it also co-ordinates the Visgerad cooperation concerning cultural heritage, having been appointed for the role by the ministers of the V4 states.

Mr. Bogdan Zdrojewski, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, accompanied by the ministers of culture of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, officially closed the Forum. During the ceremony the ministers presented the Visegrad Prize 2012 to the Museum of Jan Amos Comenius in Uherský Brod (the Czech Republic).
