Signing of the contract for the replacement of lifts at the ICC headquarters

On 26 June, at the ICC, representatives of MURKRAK Spółka z o.o. and the management of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków signed a contract for the replacement of lifts at the institution’s headquarters.

The contract, signed on 26 June 2026 at the International Cultural Centre, concerns the replacement of passenger lifts as part of the development at 25 Main Market Square in Kraków, carried out as part of the project “Modernisation and adaptation of the ground floor of the Pod Kruki tenement house and renovation of the technical infrastructure at the headquarters of the International Cultural Centre in Kraków”. This project, which is of key importance to our institution, is made possible thanks to funding from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment (FEnIKS) Programme 2021–2027.

The agreement was signed on behalf of MURKRAK by the Consortium Partner, Zygmunt Murdza, and on behalf of our institution by the Director of the ICC, Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik, and the Deputy Director for Organisational Affairs, Piotr Bąk.

All these changes are intended to increase access to culture. The project involves, amongst other things, integrating the ground floor of the tenement building into the institution’s functional layout and giving it a new cultural role – a bookshop, a café and educational rooms will be established there. Plans also include the modernisation of selected spaces and technical installations, the purchase of modern equipment, the removal of architectural barriers, and training initiatives to enhance the team’s skills in serving visitors with special needs.
