Foreign scholars of culture, history and cultural heritage of Poland and Central Europe are invited to join the 32nd edition of the Thesaurus Poloniae scholarship program. Recruitment continues until July 6, 2025.

Thesaurus Poloniae is a three-month program addressed to foreign scholars who are engaged in research dedicated to the culture, history and multicultural heritage of the Republic of Poland and Central Europe. It includes two categories: The Senior Program, for professors and university lecturers with doctoral degrees, and the Junior Program, for doctoral students. The International Cultural Centre has been running it since the fall of 2009, thus engaging in the development of intercultural and scientific dialogue.

Under the scholarship, foreign researchers (who are not Polish citizens) are invited to stay in Cracow for three months, receive accommodation, financial support (PLN 4,500 per month in the Senior Program and PLN 3,500 in the Junior Program), a one-time grant for the purchase of books and scientific materials (PLN 1,500), refund of travel expenses and insurance. In the Thesaurus Poloniae program, the key is care from ICC experts in the implementation of research projects, concerning museology, architectural history and international cooperation in the field of heritage preservation.

Participants can also use the library and reading room of the ICC, equipped with computer stations. They are also provided with assistance in accessing archives and libraries, as well as educational and research offers from Krakow's scientific and cultural institutions. They also have at their disposal a fully equipped, self-contained apartment in the city center.

To participate in the Thesaurus Poloniae program, one must send an application form, a resume, a passport-sized photo, a photocopy of a document confirming graduation recommendations from two academic supervisors (in the Junior Program) and an essay presenting the assumptions of the planned research program to be carried out during the scholarship stay in Cracow (up to 500 words).

Applications can be sent until July 6, 2025 by email: thesaurus@mck.krakow.pl or to the traditional address:
