Recruitment for the V4 Heritage Academy: Management of UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Sites in Visegrad Countries 2022 is now underway. It is a week-long educational program for employees of cultural institutions, conservation services and students from Central Europe organized by the International Cultural Centre with the Visegrad partners and implemented under the auspices of the Working Group of Experts on Cultural Heritage of Visegrad Group Countries.

 

The program concerns the management of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is organized each year in a different country of the "Visegrad Four". We are waiting for applications until May 31, 2022. The project provides four places for Polish citizens, there is also a special pool of places for Ukrainian citizens. The International Cultural Center covers the full cost of participation except for transportation to and from Krakow. In order to take part in the call, you need to send the completed application form to the following address: m.wisniewski@mck.krakow.pl.

 

There have been ten editions of the program so far and its participants have visited most of the region. The eleventh edition of the program is planned in Slovakia - in Spiska Kapitula and in Levoča. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented its implementation in 2020 and 2021. The program will be organized from July 11-17, 2022.

The permanent partners of the project are: the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Monuments Board of the Slovak Republic, as well as the World Heritage Affairs Unit of the Prime Minister's Office of Hungary.
