Prof. Giedrė Mickūnaitė received a scholarship from the 22nd edition of Thesaurus Poloniae

As part of the 22nd edition of the Thesaurus Poloniae scholarship program, the International Cultural Centre is pleased to host prof. Giedrė Mickūnaitė. The laureate has just started a three-month stay in Krakow, during which she will focus on the implementation of her research project.

Prof. Giedrė Mickūnaitė, a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius, is a researcher of European and Lithuanian culture of the early modern and medieval period, she is also interested in the historical memory and cultural heritage of Lithuania. During her research in Krakow, she will focus on the iconographic analysis of the painting Adoration of the Magi from the altar of the parish church of st. Peter and Paul in Dryświaty (now located in Belarus).

Thesaurus Poloniae is a three-month scholarship program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, implemented by the International Cultural Centre in Krakow since 2009. The program is addressed to foreign scientists conducting research on the culture, history and multicultural heritage of the Republic of Poland and Central Europe.
