We cordially invite you to an extraordinary night full of art, knowledge and inspiration at the International Cultural Center in Krakow! A unique journey through the history of art and contemporary photography will take place during the Night of Museums on May 17.

During this unique evening, you will be able to see two exhibitions - " The Untamed Has No Words: Michał Korta" and "Odesa. The Long 20th Century in Art", talk to educators and take part in night painting workshops.

Michał Korta's photographs, presented in the basement of the MCK, invite you to a night journey alongside animals, through forests, fields and thickets - they ask questions about the nature of relationships between people and non-human beings, reflecting a world in which humans are the weaker link with blunted senses.

Exhibition "Odesa. "The Long 20th Century in Art" takes you to the fascinating world of the Ukrainian city, discovers its history, culture and influence on 20th century art, and comments on the ongoing war from the perspective of the city, long called the "Marseilles of the East".

At 10 p.m. there will be painting workshops "Kropkografia" with "The Color Lady" - Olka Barczak. The host will talk about colors and their influence on the development of art through the prism of optics. Participants inspired by the works presented at the exhibition "Odesa. "The Long 20th Century in Art", under the supervision of the teacher, will create their own works in the pointillist technique.

The workshops are intended for adults, participation is free, the number of places is limited - registration at: sklepy@mck.krakow.pl

About the hosts:

Olka Barczak is an architect, color designer, founder of the CollageBlog blog. She is the author of many educational materials for designers and a popular science book titled "#color". Together with her husband Piotr (interior designer), they have been running courses, training and workshops in various fields of creativity and teaching the language of colors at CollageCollege for over a dozen years. They love art, design, architecture and traveling. They live in Krakow.

After the tour, we invite you to an open table for a conversation with the curator of the Odessa exhibition, Dr. Żanna Komar. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the background and context of the presented works and to share your reflections and questions.

We invite you to this night visit, we have coffee for all night owls tired of sightseeing.

The Night of Museums at the MCK lasts from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Admission to both exhibitions during these hours costs PLN 5.

See you!
