Meeting of the Expert Working Group on Cultural Heritage of the Visegrad Group Countries

On March 10, 2020, the ICC held a meeting of the Expert Working Group on Cultural Heritage of the Visegrad Group Countries. They took part in the Ministries of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Office of the General Conservator of Historical Monuments in Slovakia and the Office of the Prime Minister of Hungary.

Since 2007, the Ministers of Culture of the Visegrad Group countries have been proposed, the ICC is responsible for the cooperation of the V4 countries in the field of cultural coverage. Thanks to cooperation within the Working Group of Cultural Heritage Experts of the Visegrad Group Countries, five editions of the Central European Heritage Forum took place every two years, while conferences and experts from around the world discuss issues related to the creation of regional culture. Since 2009, trainings as part of the V4 Heritage Academy series have also been organized, addressed to employees of conservation services and cultural institutions, as well as non-governmental institutions involved in conservation activities. The first goal is to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of management and protection of sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.

The theme of this year's meeting was the evaluation of projects implemented jointly in 2019 and a discussion of cooperation planned for the coming years - another summer teaching school that deals in July in the Spis Chapter and the anniversary of the 30th anniversary of the V4 Group in 2021
