Management of institutions of culture – the Wilanów Palace Museum

A lecture by Paweł Jaskanis under the cycle Open lectures at the Academy of Heritage.
Paweł Jaskanis – art historian, archaeologist, and graduate of Warsaw Uni-versity. He started his professional career at the Conservation of Monuments Workshops, then worked at the Department of Art in the Ministry of Culture and Art. In 1996 he became one of the deputies of the General Monument Conservator and three years later he was nominated as head of the Office of the General Monument Conservator. When this institution was abolished in 2002, he won the competition for the director of the Wilanów Palace Museum, which he continues to manage today. He is also a member of the Monuments Protection Council, president of the Museums Council and vice‑president of the Polish Committee of the International Council of Museums
