Liverpool and its museum

David Fleming – a leading figure of the British museum scene, since 2001 heads the group called National Museums Liverpool, visited annually by 3.2 million viewers. His undertakings during his decade-long work in Liverpool include the Into The Future Project worth 45 million pounds, which encompassed an overhaul of the museum’s two main Galleries - The Walker Art Museum and the World Museum – and the opening of the International Slavery Museum. In 2011 the institution run by Fleming expanded its exhibition space with the futuristic building of the Museum of Liverpool worth 74 million pounds, one of the largest British museums offering a story of a city.
