Library Night at the MCK. Bookbinding workshops

Join us for bookbinding workshops at the MCK, where we will teach you how to use recycled materials to make your own original book or notebook cover.  

Is the cover of your favourite book completely falling apart? Do you have the perfect paper in your notebook, but you're not entirely satisfied with the graphics? Would you like to learn the basic techniques of bookbinding, do you have a passion for recycling and a bit of ingenuity and imagination?

As part of Library Night 2025, we invite you to bookbinding workshops for beginners, during which you can learn how to make a hardcover book or notebook using available materials and the simplest tools.

Library Night is a nationwide campaign promoting reading through the promotion of libraries, their spaces and resources. The project includes artistic, educational and entertainment events.  

Host:

Olga Machowska – a librarian by profession, a bookworm and bookbinder by passion, a lover of plants and paper. She draws, cuts, glues and writes.

On 17 October, we invite you to the MCK Library between 10.00-16.00 and 17.00-21.00

The bookbinding workshops will take place in the Panoramic Room.
