Professor Jacek Purchla wins the Friend of the Symposium of Aleksander Kowalski Award

We are pleased to inform that prof. Jacek Purchla was honored with the Friend of the Symposium of Aleksander Kowalski Award during the 50th jubilee Scientific Symposium in the Contemporary Economy and Public Administration series, which took place on January 17-19, 2020 in Zakopane.

An event whose originator and host is prof. dr hab. Jerzy Hausner, founder of the Department of Economy and Public Administration at the University of Economics in Krakow, has been connecting the world of science, business and politics for years. Since May 2015, at the GAP scientific symposia, the award of the deceased prof. Aleksander Kowalski, a longtime academic teacher at the Department of Theory of Economics at the Cracow University of Economics and the originator of symposia. The award goes to people who have been distinguished for the GAP community, who have contributed in a special way and continue to contribute to the development of the idea of ​​GAP Symposia.

This year's winner, in addition to the founder and director of our institution for many years, was Krzysztof Materna.
