On November 25, the International Cultural Centre invited to a meeting with reporter Katarzyna Surmiak-Domańska.

In her latest book, entitled "Czystka" (The Purge), the reporter examines the history of historical traumas on the example of the fate of her own family, from the 1920s through the peace in Riga between Soviet and Polish Russia, World War II, the Volyn-Galician slaughter, resettlement and purges of the end wars, to social advancement and eradication of the 1960s.

How to tell the history of Poland anew, when we already know the concepts of trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, when we understand the mechanics of the purging and pogrom processes? How many sources of trauma have not yet been disclosed, even though we are a society immersed in memory?

The meeting was chaired by Paulina Małochleb.
The meeting was held on November 25 at 6.00 pm at the Ravens Hall of the International Cultural Center, Rynek Główny 25. Free admission. The real-time transmission with translation into Polish Sign Language will be available on the FB MCK profile.
