From Sejny to Kraków – remembrance workshops

The project entitled  ”From Sejny to Kraków – remembrance workshops” has been born from the enchantment with the acting skills and professionalism of young people involved in the activities of the Sejny Chronicles Atelier at the  Borderland of Arts, Cultures and Nations Centre in Sejny. Young actors, along with their artistic supervisor and stage director, Ms Bożena Szroeder, have created a deeply moving theatrical performance telling a story about multicultural Sejny, a small town in Podlasie, where Poles, Jews, Lithuanians, Gypsies, Germans, Belarusians and Tartars lived together for centuries, creating the region’s material and spiritual heritage. “The Sejny Chronicle” bears a universal and still topical message of tolerance, multiculturality, respect to others and the feeling of ownership of our history. “From Sejny to Kraków – remembrance workshops” is the International Cultural Centre’s project that envisages a lecture for teachers, theatrical workshops for Kraków secondary school students and a performance which will be shown on the Stage 210 of the State Drama School in Kraków.
