“Forms of sensitivity”- contemporary art towards nature

Exhibition “Plants and animals. Atlases of natural history in the age of Linnaeus” are a unique heritage of the era of great discoveries, scientific expeditions, the crystallization of modern zoology and botany research, but also a story about the relationship between man and nature and his relationship to the surrounding world.

The question about the relationship between people and other living organisms seems to be extremely up to date especially today - in the era of challenges facing humanity in the face of climate change, shrinking natural resources, environmental degradation or disappearance of more animal and plant species from the Earth's surface. What does contemporary art say about today's people's attitude to the surrounding world? How does artistic creation comment on human dependence on the environment? Can exhibitions and artistic practice become a mediating medium between man and nature? These issues became the axis of the lecture "Forms of sensitivity - contemporary art towards nature".
