Eco Academy
2013, January 15, 16, 17 AND January 22, 23, 24,
10.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
For the third time in a row the International Cultural Centre organises its winter holiday workshops following the principles of the eco-movement. This time, the exhibition of Andy Warhol, currently on view at the ICC Gallery, will serve as a pretext for creating eco-products. It was Warhol who turned an everyday object into a work of art and proved that any worn out, broken or used object, such as empty soup can or invalid bus ticket, can be equipped with a new meaning.

The first class will be devoted to an investigation of a process of turning recycled paper pulp into regular objects. The second meeting will focus on Warhol’s advertising activities. The third class will take interest in the roots of Andy Warhol, whose family originated in Slovakia.
