Jadwiga Kaim-Otręba and Ryszard Otręba are a couple of outstanding graphic designers, partners in their artistic and personal life. The sculptor Jan Kucz, writing a dedication for them in one of his books, noted: "Beautiful people, beautiful life, beautiful art". However, the common biography of the Otręba family is a source of knowledge not only about the crystallization of their concept of art and their relationship, but also a window to the world of Polish artistic life in the second half of the 20th century.

The subject of the October lecture were the biographies of other outstanding couples of the Polish 20th-century art scene. The life and work of such duets as Helena and Szymon Syrkus, Alina Szapocznikow and Jan Stanisławski, Oskar and Zofia Hansen or Franciszka and Stefan Themerson will be presented. The stories about their private lives and their professional relationship will become an input into the history and art of the 20th century.

The lecture announces the exhibition Printmaking as a Pair. Jadwiga Kaim-Otręba and Ryszard Otręba. The exhibition about Krakow's artists will be on display at the ICC Gallery from mid-November.

The lecture was conducted online via the Zoom platform.
