2 September 2012,  16.00

Do you want to win Marx’s or Engels’s „legs” at an auction? Or you’d rather go for the torso?

On Sunday, 2 September, on the last day of the exhibition GDR. Stories from a vanished country, you will have an opportunity to participate in an auction at which the museum will sell the items used for the exhibition arrangement designed by Rafał Bartkowicz, the styrofoam „statues” (presenting the fathers of the communism) by Jan Tutaj, as well as the attractive flags promoting the show and other socialist gadgets.

The ICC invites you to participate in the auction and contribute items made in the GDR or gadgets linked to other „vanished countries”, for example: pennants, badges, toys (Unser Sandmännchen, the Trabant, moving head dogs, etc.), ashtrays, vases, old vinyl records, small home appliances, etc. The items to be auctioned may be brought to the ICC between August 16 and 31 (Monday-Friday, 10.00-16.00 or as pre-arranged by phone), and on the auction day, between 11.00 and 15.00.

All the funds raised during the auction will used for a charitable purpose and provided to the Cracow Animal Shelter.
The organisers reserve the right to review the items and decide which of them will be auctioned.
