We don't know much about Lithuania, and we often use stereotypes when thinking about it. The issue of  "Herito" about Lithuania may help in overthrowing them, but it is only an introduction, a small guide to the culture and heritage of our neighbors, not exhaustive enough, but giving rise to a conversation.

We invited you to an interview with Rasa Rimickaitė and Nikodem Szczygłowski. Together, on the occasion of the 40th issue of "Herito", we outlined a map of Lithuanian culture. What is Lithuania particularly proud of, what would it like to show off even more, and how does it care for its artists? How is Lithuanian culture coping with the pandemic? How are its institutions doing in these difficult times? We were seeking answers to these and other questions together, providing a detailed insight into the culture of the country of our close neighbors.

Rasa Rimickaitė – cultural attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Poland. A long-time lecturer of Lithuanian literature and culture. A graduate of the Vilnius University and the School of Social Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.

Nikodem Szczygłowski – traveler, writer and essayist, translator, fluent in, among others, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Ukrainian. Winner of the award for achievements in the journalism of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. A graduate of Mediterranean Archeology at the University of Lodz.

The broadcast of the event was available on Thursday, March 11th at 19.00 on the ICC profile on Facebook.

The meeting was hosted by Bartosz Sadulski.

The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Sport.
