"An exhibition with class" - a proposal from the ICC for schools

The International Cultural Centre invites primary and secondary school students to special classes at the ICC Gallery. Lessons based on the exhibition "Ukraine. Mutual Views "will help to supplement the knowledge in the field of various subjects carried out in accordance with the core curriculum.

Gallery classes cover issues of culture, history, geography and the Polish language. During the lesson, students learn about the works of Ukrainian and Polish art, ancient and contemporary, thanks to which they orient themselves in the history of Ukraine and Poland, learn about the characteristic features of the Ukrainian landscape.
The context of the exhibition is extended to myth-creating themes, such as: the endless steppe, the Ukrainian hut, black earth, bread and hunger, we discuss the Cossack myth, which is key to Ukrainian identity, presented in the works of Taras Shevchenko, Józef Brandt and Ilya Repin.
The tour is accompanied by creative activities and solving tasks related to a given educational path. It is also possible to take a guided tour of the exhibition, during which young people will get acquainted with the analysis of ideas about Ukraine, its history and the current situation.

Cost: PLN 5 / person (care - free admission).
Duration of classes: from 60 minutes to 90 minutes
We run the workshops from Monday to Friday. It is possible to conduct lessons in the following languages: English, Ukrainian or Russian.
