Agata Wąsowska-Pawlik, the ICC director and Łukasz Galusek, deputy director for programme policy, received from President Andrzej Duda the acts of appointment to the Social Committee for the Restoration of Krakow's Monuments (SKOZK). The ceremony took place on March 10th, 2021 at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.

The Social Committee for the Restoration of Krakow's Monuments (SKOZK) was estabilished on December 18th, 1978. Since then, the Committee's help has been focused on the renovation of the most valuable monuments owned by the government, the city of Krakow, churches and religious associations and private owners. It consists of scientists, conservators, architects, artists, journalists and clergy. The patronage over the activities of SKOZK is taken by successive Presidents of the Republic of Poland.

Krakow and its heritage was, and still is the subject of the ICC's interest. It is enough to mention the research project 1000 Treasures of Krakow, which ended two and a half years ago, which sheds new light on the cultural heritage of the city, or OWHC Young Professionals Forum – a week-long educational program for young experts, organized by the ICC during the 15th Congress of the Organization of World Heritage Cities, taking place in Krakow in 2019.
