Accessible Sunday. Guided tours of the exhibitions

At the International Cultural Centre in Krakow we break down barriers. We want everyone to feel comfortable here. We invited you to guided tours of the exhibitions “Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski” and "In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz" as part of the "Accessible Sunday" programme.

We expecially invited people with hearing and visual disabilities, but also everyone who would like to get to know art with the use of many senses. A ticket to the Gallery on this day cost 5 PLN.

Guided tours schedule for 30 October:

11 a.m. – exhibition “Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski”, live audio description in Polish with, with the use of haptic elements (PL)

12:15 p.m. –exhibition “In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz”, live audio description in Polish (PL)

1 p.m. – exhibition “Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski”, guided tour in Polish with the founders of the Ptakofonia project: Andrzej Barć and Krzysztof Ekstowicz (PL)

2 p.m. – exhibition “In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz”, translated simultaneously into Polish Sign Language (PL)

3 p.m. – exhibition “Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski”, translated simultaneously into Polish Sign Language (PL)

3 p.m. – exhibition “Art in Uniform: The War Graves Department in Kraków 1915–1918” (PL)

4 p.m. – exhibition “In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz”, guided tour in English (EN)

5 p.m. – exhibition "Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski", guided tour in English (EN)

Anna Zubek, PhD from Symbioza Educational Centre (Jagiellonian University) was present during the audiodescription. She showed various haptic elements and answered all the questions the participants may have had concerning natural science.
