Accessible Sunday. Guided tours of the exhibitions

At the International Cultural Centre in Krakow we break down barriers. We want everyone to feel comfortable here. On the 25th of September we invited you to guided tours of the exhibitions “Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski” and "In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz" as part of the "Accessible Sunday" programme.


We expecially invited people with hearing and visual disabilities, but also everyone who would like to get to know art with the use of many senses. A ticket to the Gallery on this day cost 5 PLN.

Next "Accessible Sunday" is planned for the 30th of October.

Guided tours schedule for 25 September:

11 a.m. – exhibition "Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski" – live audio description in Polish, with the use of haptic elements by Regina Młynarska

12:15 p.m. – exhibition "In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz" – live audio description in Polish by Regina Młynarska

1 p.m.  exhibition "Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski"  guided tour in Polish with the founders of the Ptakofonia project: Andrzej Barć and Krzysztof Ekstowicz (  

2 p.m. exhibition "In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz"  translated simultaneously into Polish Sign Language by Jakub Studziński

3 p.m. exhibition "Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski", translated simultaneously into Polish Sign Language by Jakub Studziński

4 p.m. exhibition "In Ukraine. Justyna Mielnikiewicz", guided tour in Ukrainian

5 p.m. exhibition "Homing. Włodzimierz Puchalski", guided tour in Ukrainian

Anna Zubek, PhD from Symbioza Educational Centre (Jagiellonian University) was present during the audiodescription. She showed various haptic elements and answered all the questions the participants may have had concerning natural science.

Every person with disability could ask for an assistant that would lead him or her to ICC from the nearest tram or bus stop.
