Join us for a walk in the footsteps of Krakow's spirit of irony, Dadaist spite and sheer creative joy. Together we will take a peek into the Green Balloon Cabaret, move to the Cricot 2 Theater and trace contemporary examples of artistic experimentation, activism and rebellion.

June 14, 11 am (Gathering Place: 45 Floriańska Street, in front of Jama Michalika)

Krakow is not only a city of monuments and material traces of centuries-old history. It is also a center of creative confusion and artistic revolt – a place where experimentation and artistic provocation intertwine with humor, absurdity and a critical view of reality, and tradition mixes with rebellion. It is these elements in the art and history of Krakow that we will be looking for during a tongue-in-cheek walk, discovering the city inside out!

We will follow the trail of artistic experiments and creative freedom: from the decadent Kabaret Zielony Balonik (Green Balloon Cabaret) through the legendary performances of Tadeusz Kantor at the Cricot 2 Theater to contemporary microspaces of art and activism. We will take a look at the places that inspired the avant-garde, lavished nonsense and rebellion against reality – from Young Poland to contemporary activities in urban space. We will be introduced to their extraordinary space by Dr. Małgorzata Jędrzejczyk.

  • reservation of places at Evenea service is obligatory (number of places limited)
  • cost of participation: PLN 10
